Configure this endpoint in an MCP-compatible client. The client handles protocol initialization and tool discovery.

Available tools

botid_lookup

Read a .botid label’s availability, current owner and expiry from the Base registry.

botid_price

Read the current ETH amount quoted by the registry oracle for the $9.99 USD-equivalent, 365-day registration or renewal term. Base network gas is additional.

Agent workflow

  1. Call botid_lookup to inspect a label.
  2. Call botid_price to retrieve the live annual ETH quote.
  3. Direct the owner to review the name and approve registration or renewal in their Base wallet.
  4. Verify the confirmed transaction and fresh registry state before treating registration as complete.

The current public MCP server does not write resolver records, create subdomains, list or buy marketplace names, or submit transactions on an agent’s behalf. Those workflows are separate from the read-only public tools.
